Opening:  Students will match pictures of inequalities and visuals.

Warm Up: Students will solve two multi-step inequalities. 

Opening:  Students will review the way to solve equations based on the location of variables.   


Instruction (I do): Teacher will give notes, work examples and discuss misconceptions of students. 

Guided Practice (We do): Students will work with a partner to complete practice problems using Rally Coach.

Independent Practice (You do):  Students will work practice problems. 

Instruction (I do): Teacher will give notes, work examples and clear up student misconceptions. 

Guided Practice (We do): Working in a group, students will use Kagan Structure, “Showdown” to work examples. 

Independent Practice (You do):  Students will complete practice problems. 

Instruction (I do): Teacher will give notes, work examples and clear up student misconceptions. 

Guided Practice (We do): Using the Kagan Structure, Fan-n-Pick to work examples of solving linear inequalities. 

Independent Practice (You do): Students will complete practice problems. 

Instruction (I do): Teacher will give notes, work examples and discuss misconceptions of students.   

Guided Practice (We do): Students will work in group of four to practice using Showdown to solve literal equations. 
Independent Practice (You do):  Students will work practice problems.
